How the Sense of Oneness Can Overcome the Present Crisis and Sufferings
We must understand that if one person is suffering, we all are suffering collectively. We must feel the Oneness to Heal the Humanity.— His Holiness Sri Amit Ray
It is the time of connecting to the oneness of the human spirit and being able to understand that if one person is suffering, we are all suffering collectively. You have to go beyond the senses, beyond duality to find Oneness.
Enlightenment and Oneness
One of the greatest spiritual qualities of enlightenment is to feel that you are one with everything and all that is. Experiencing no sense of separation between you and everyone you meet, no separation between you and the Universe — this is the essence of what we call non-dual reality or non-dual awareness.
You may have random, unexpected glimpses of Oneness. Perhaps you were watching a beautiful sunset and had that moment when you felt like you merged with the whole of creation.
“When the mind is impure, the being is impure; when the mind is pure, the being is pure.” — Buddha
Harmony and beauty
Harmony and beauty within our lives and within our communities often fail due to our insistence on the duality of self and others. When we maintain the duality of self and others, we develop disproportionate levels of love and hatred, attraction and repulsion for other people. When you bring balance in the 114 chakras in the body, you bring harmony.
Meditation and Oneness
When you sit in meditation, and you witness all those surface thoughts and emotions, you can see their comings and goings. And then sometimes, you tap into that still place that is always there, always steady, stable and holding space for the more transitory experiences.
We can also have direct experience of Oneness through meditation, which provides a systematic path by which our awareness settles to quieter levels of thinking until we finally transcend thought completely. All duality is in the realm of thoughts. When we slip into the spaces between our thoughts, we become Oneness. Oneness isn’t just experiencing something; it’s a state of being.
Your Body is your Temple
Your body is like a temple or a divine city. When you are in it, it is pure consciousness, auspicious and pure, but when you depart from it, it become lifeless and impure. Life in the universe, or existence itself, is made possible by Oneness.
Oneness and Love for all
Buddha said, love all sentient beings as if they were their own sons and daughters; they see all beings as not separate from themselves. When we suffer, they feel our pain; when we celebrate, they feel our joy. When they help us, they are also helping themselves.
